In this busy full-time position based in our Brisbane Depot, located in Richlands, working within the workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing trucks and trailers.

For you to be successful in this role:

  • At least 1 year experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
  • Be able to work within a team or independently
  • Demonstrated experience with late model equipment, including KW, Mack, Volvo and WST prime movers, along with various trailer types

Road Transport Operations Administration Assistant - Richlands Qld

As one of Australia’s leading Road Transport Companies established in 1984 we are looking for a highly motivated Administration Assistant who is searching for their next career challenge.

We are currently looking for a hands on, confident and proactive Operations Administration Assistant to join our team in the Richlands Depot. You will be working closely with the National Operations Manager and the Operations team.  Your primary responsibilities will be ensuring that all paperwork, including consignment notes and manifests are entered into the JAIX Freight System ready for the drivers, utilising your attention to detail skills with a high level of accuracy.   Your exceptional customer service and organisational skills will be needed as you liaise with customers, drivers, depot managers and all Land Transport staff over the phone, via email and in person.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Previous experience in a high pressured administrative data entry position
  2. Proven Courteous and Professional phone manner
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment working to strict deadlines and time frames 
  4. Able to process high volume data entry with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  5. Strong Australian geographical knowledge
  6. Excellent communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
  7. Experience in the transport industry preferred but not essential
  8. Knowledge of JAIX Freight will be viewed favourably

Warehouse Person - Moree NSW

Established in March 1984 and dedicated to safe and reliable transport, Land Transport provides a comprehensive distribution and delivery network across Australia.  Land Storage and Distribution (LSD) became a small arm of the Land Transport Group business in 2005.  Over the years, it has grown to become an inaugural part of our business. 

In this busy full-time position at our Land Storage and Distribution (LSD) Warehouse in our Moree Depot you will be reporting to the Depot Manager and you will be responsible for receiving, storing and dispatching customer’s goods held in storage while maintaining a clean and tidy working environment at all times.  Your position will require you to receive and dispatch customers goods, along with various storage reports while working with our WMS. Weekly and monthly customer stocktakes as also required.  Your communication skills will be of a high standard as you liaise directly with the customers both internally and externally.  You will also be required to assist with the loading, unloading and securing for our local, intrastate and interstate freight.

What we need from you:

  • A current forklift licence with experience within a warehouse environment
  • Proven experience handling pallets in and out of pallet racking
  • Previous experience working with Dangerous Goods is essential
  • Your ability to demonstrate a high level of written, numerical and computer skills
  • Your ability to follow policies and procedures while working within the WH&S Guidelines
  • A clear understanding of loading, unloading and securing freight
  • HR License beneficial, but not a requirement

Depot / Operations Assistant Manager - Maddington - Perth

In this pivotal role, you will be required to oversee and support freight movements and warehousing at our Maddington Depot. You will provide proactive leadership through setting high performance standards, driving accountability, results and effective people management.

Reporting to the Company Director, Company Secretary and Depot Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Working within multiple legislative requirements of the transport industry
  • Managing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Provide leadership and hands on support to all employees at the site, interstate drivers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring the flow of paperwork follows the procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Managing daily operations both local distribution of warehouse stock and interstate pickups and deliveries
  • Scheduling of interstate outbound loads
  • Ensuring any issues or incidents are actioned and reported in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with quarantine inspectors as required

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate experience in interstate transport operations and have a sound knowledge of warehousing
  • Have a genuine passion for the transport industry
  • Be acquainted in the legislative requirements of the transport industry
  • Have extensive experience leading a team in a high volume transport environment and be proficient in scheduling
  • Demonstrate competency in computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of JAIX Freight and WMS an advantage
  • Be customer service focused, with excellent written and communication skills.  Possess the ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
  • Be prepared to undergo any training required to fulfil the role
  • Should you hold a scheduling accreditation and a forklift licence it will be advantageous

Payroll/HR Officer - Toowoomba, Qld

We are currently looking for a hands on, confident and proactive Payroll/HR Officer based in our Head Office in Toowoomba to process and manage our weekly payroll. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Process medium sized weekly end to end payroll
  • Superannuation
  • EOM and EOY reporting
  • Award Interpretation
  • Payroll Tax
  • Workers Compensation
  • Preparation of Letter of Offer & Employment Agreements using existing templates
  • Uploading recruitment vacancies to employment platforms and company website.

Your exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills will be needed as you liaise with Management, Depot Managers and all Land Transport staff both over the phone, email and in person.

Selection Criteria:

  1. At least 5 years experience processing medium size end to end payroll
  2. Experience in HR3 preferred
  3. High level knowledge and prepared to keep fluent with relevant legislation and guidelines including NES, Award Interpretation, superannuation, taxation, payroll tax, workers compensation etc.
  4. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  5. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word

Warehouse Administration Assistant – Dubbo

Established in March 1984 and dedicated to safe and reliable transport, Land Transport provides a comprehensive distribution and delivery network across Australia.  Land Storage and Distribution (LSD) became a small arm of Land Transport’s business in 2005.  Over the years it has grown to become an inaugural part of our business.  Due to steady growth we are looking to employ another Administration Assistant in our Dubbo Depot.

Reporting to the Depot Manager this busy and diverse role will require a high level of data entry ensuring accurate stock control of customer’s goods in store.  This position will require a mature outlook to your work and the ability to work closely with warehouse staff.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, your day-to-day tasks will see you involved in a variety of duties such as but not limited to:

  • Responding to our storage customer’s enquiries by phone and email
  • Assisting with taking pick-ups and other admin operational duties
  • Data entry of consignment notes and manifesting
  • Other general administration duties

 

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working with a WMS
  • A high level of computer accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A 'Can-Do' attitude and ability to think outside the square
  • The ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast paced office
  • Previous experience in administration support within a warehouse/transport environment an advantage
