Compliance Officer - Brisbane - QLD

Land Storage and Distribution (LSD)’s sole purpose is the storage and distribution of customers goods held in storage. 

Experiencing steady growth we are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at our Brisbane Depot.

This busy role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your ability to retain information, working both supervised and autonomously.  Your time management, attention to detail and communication skills will be paramount for you to be successful.

Duties and Responsibilities: (but not limited to)

  • Data entry and record keeping including truck and forklift prestart maintenance, job cards for our maintenance systems, load verifications, sub-contractor compliance and work diaries
  • Scanning and filing
  • Compiling new employee paperwork
  • Maintain Sub-Contractor database
  • Maintaining COVID-19 records
  • Maintaining uniforms and promotional items
  • Booking of all staff training and record keeping of: including medicals and industry associated training.
  • Updating driver documentation and restocking driver’s Dangerous Goods equipment
  • Annual updating of all depot emergency information
  • Maintain Agsafe premises and personnel accreditation
  • Maintain and renew DG site licences and notifications
  • Cross check weekly DG storage reports against site licences and maintain site registers
  • Be aware of customer’s stock projections to accommodate for future storage.
  • Internal quarterly and annual auditing
  • Maintain annual racking inspections from external providers
  • Ensure toolbox talks are completed maintaining the toolbox talk register
  • Assist in the training of current and new internal policies
  • Train staff in load restraint requirements – essential
  • Mechanical based background would be an advantage

This busy and diverse role based in our Brisbane Depot will see you interacting with a variety of people on a daily basis. Primarily this entry-level position will see you starting in reception and as you develop your skills, you may have the opportunity to transition into other areas of this extremely busy office and grow your career.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, your day-to-day tasks will see you involved in a variety of duties such as but not limited to:

  • Answering phones and directing calls while dealing with customer enquiries
  • Taking pick up enquiries / bookings
  • Data entry
  • Filing, Photocopying and scanning
  • Faxing and laminating
  • Other general administration duties as directed

About You

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • Sound geographical knowledge of Brisbane including surrounding areas and city’s around Australia
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced office environment
  • Previous Administration experience is essential
  • Transport experience desirable

Yard Foreman / Supervisor - Dubbo - NSW

We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Foreman / Supervisor in this challenging leadership role to complement our growing team.

In this pivotal role, you will be required to oversee and support freight movements and warehousing at our Dubbo Depot. You will provide proactive leadership through setting high performance standards, driving accountability, results and effective people management.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working within multiple legislative requirements of the transport industry
  • Managing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Provide leadership and hands on support to all employees at the site, interstate drivers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring the flow of paperwork follows the procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Managing daily operations both local distribution of warehouse stock and interstate pickups and deliveries
  • Scheduling of interstate outbound loads
  • Ensuring any issues or incidents are actioned and reported in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with quarantine inspectors as required

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate experience in interstate transport operations and have a sound knowledge of warehousing
  • Have a genuine passion for the transport industry
  • Be acquainted in the legislative requirements of the transport industry
  • Have extensive experience leading a team in a high volume transport environment and be proficient in scheduling
  • Demonstrate competency in computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of JAIX Freight and WMS an advantage
  • Be customer service focused, with excellent written and communication skills.  Possess the ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
  • Be prepared to undergo any training required to fulfil the role

In this busy full-time position based in our Brisbane Depot, located in Richlands, working within the workshop team, you will be responsible for field service work servicing trailers.

For you to be successful in this role:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Heavy Vehicle Trailer Mechanic

  • Must have knowledge of braking and suspension systems.
  • Forklift licence essential

Warehouse / Store Person – Moree - NSW

In this busy full-time position at our Land Storage and Distribution (LSD) we are looking for a Warehouse/ Store Person in our Moree Depot. You will be reporting to the Depot Manager and will be responsible for receiving, storing and dispatching customer’s goods held in storage while maintaining a clean and tidy working environment at all times.  Your position will require you to receive and dispatch customers goods, along with various storage reports while working with our WMS. Weekly and monthly customer stocktakes as also required.  Your communication skills will be of a high standard as you liaise directly with the customers both internally and externally.  You will also be required to assist with the loading, unloading and securing of freight for our local, intrastate and interstate freight.

What we need from you:

  • A current forklift licence within a warehouse environment is essential
  • Proven experience handling pallets in and out of pallet racking
  • Previous experience working with Dangerous Goods is preferred
  • Your ability to demonstrate a high level of written, numerical and computer skills
  • Your ability to follow policies and procedures while working within the WH&S Guidelines
  • A clear understanding of loading, unloading and securing freight

Administration Assistant - Moree - NSW

We are currently looking for a hands-on, confident and proactive Administration Assistant to join our team in our Moree Depot.

Working closely with the Depot Manager, your primary responsibilities will be ensuring that all paperwork, including consignment notes and manifests are entered into the JAIX Freight System ready for the drivers, utilising your attention to detail skills with a high level of accuracy.  Exceptional customer service and organisational skills will be needed as you liaise with customers, drivers, depot managers and all Land Transport staff via phone, email and in person.

 

About You

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous success in an administrative data entry position
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment working to strict deadlines and time frames
  • Demonstrated experience working with Consignment notes and Manifests
  • Strong Australian geographical knowledge
