MC Driver – Bohle – Townsville - Qld

  • Full Time Secure Position
  • Monday to Friday

With steady company growth, we are looking for a MC Driver to join our team to carry out pickups and deliveries within the Metro Townsville and North Queensland areas. Working with General Freight as a proven MC driver and drawing on your sound knowledge of WHS both in the workplace and on the road, this role is suited to someone who has sound geographical knowledge and who takes pride in their work always considering the customer's and company’s needs.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have demonstrated experience in load restraint of general freight, pickups and deliveries
  • Have proven experience loading machinery without forklifts
  • Have previous experience completing daily vehicle pre-start checks and driver fitness
  • Have proven experience with Tilt Trays and Floats 
  • Hold a current MC licence with proven Road Train experience
  • Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries
  • Forklift licence essential
  • Dangerous Good licence and BFM desirable

HR Driver - Maddington - Perth - WA

We are looking for a HR Driver to join our team in the Perth depot based in Maddington to carry out pickups and deliveries within the Perth and Surrounding areas.  Working with General Freight as a proven HR driver, drawing on your knowledge of WHS both in the workplace and on the road, this role is suited to someone who has sound geographical knowledge and who takes pride in their work always considering the customer's and company’s needs.  

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring your previous experience with pickups and deliveries of interstate freight
  • Have demonstrated experience in load restraint of general freight
  • Have previous experience completing daily vehicle pre-start checks and driver fitness
  • Hold a current HR licence with proven experience with general freight
  • Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries
  • DG and Forklift licences preferred but not essential

Depot/Operations Manager - Maddington - Perth

Reporting to the Company Director and Company Secretary you will be responsible for:
• Working within multiple legislative requirements of the transport industry
• Managing and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Provide leadership and hands on support to all employees at the site, interstate drivers and subcontractors
• Ensuring the flow of paperwork follows the procedures accurately and efficiently
• Managing daily operations both local distribution of warehouse stock and interstate pickups and deliveries
• Scheduling of interstate outbound loads
• Ensuring any issues or incidents are actioned and reported in a timely manner
• Coordinating with quarantine inspectors as required

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate experience in interstate transport operations and have a sound knowledge of warehousing
• Have a genuine passion for the transport industry
• Be acquainted in the legislative requirements of the transport industry
• Have extensive experience leading a team in a high volume transport environment and be proficient in scheduling
• Demonstrate competency in computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of JAIX Freight and WMS an advantage
• Be customer service focused, with excellent written and communication skills. Possess the ability to interact with stakeholders on all levels
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Be prepared to undergo any training required to fulfil the role
• Should you hold a scheduling accreditation and a forklift licence it will be advantageous
